We are seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Abbey Court. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional care and support to our care home residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your expertise in caregiving, combined with your friendly and empathetic nature, will help create a warm and inviting environment for those in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive, establish and maintain our CORE values throughout your team.
  • Provide high-quality care and support to residents ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Supervise and train junior care staff, fostering their professional development.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities including mobility, bathing, and meals.
  • Monitor and record patients’ progress, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss resident status, clinical and care strategies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • [Proven experience as a caregiver or in a similar role within the care home industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Compassionate demeanour with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Knowledge of care planning and assessment procedures.
  • Certification in relevant health care and safety qualifications.
  • English Proficiency of a level that the responsibilities of the employee can be undertaken effectively.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends.
