At Heatherfield, it’s been a truly joyful time, with not just one but two very special celebrations bringing colleagues, residents, and loved ones together.
A Wedding Celebration Shared with the Heatherfield Family
The first celebration was for two much-loved members of the care team, Nirmal and Bilbimol, who tied the knot on 6th March 2026. After their beautiful ceremony, the newlyweds brought the celebrations back to Heatherfield, sharing their happiness with colleagues and residents who know them so well. The home was filled with smiles, laughter, and warm wishes as everyone came together to celebrate the couple’s special day. Nirmal and Bilbimol are cherished by all at Heatherfield, and it was wonderful for residents and staff alike to be part of such a meaningful moment in their lives.

A Diamond Anniversary Filled with Music, Memories and Love
The celebrations didn’t stop there. Heatherfield also played host to a remarkable milestone for resident Henry Kennedy and his wife Audrey, who marked an incredible 60 years of marriage with a diamond wedding anniversary celebration at the home.
Audrey worked with the team to organise a heartfelt party, and the result was a truly memorable occasion. A singer performed the couple’s favourite songs, creating a lovely atmosphere and even inspiring Henry and Audrey to take to the floor for a dance together. The home provided a delicious buffet tea for everyone to enjoy, while Audrey arranged a beautiful celebration cake that was shared among residents, staff, and guests.
As the team at Heatherfield shared: “Audrey asked if we could support with a celebration which we did and a great time was had by all. We had a singer who sang their favourite songs and they danced together. Following this the home provided a buffet tea and Audrey had arranged for a celebration cake which everyone enjoyed.”

These two occasions perfectly reflect the spirit of Heatherfield, a place where life’s most important moments are celebrated together, whether it’s the start of a new chapter or the honouring of a lifetime of love.
