Jackie Bird
Home Manager
Jackie has dedicated her career to the care sector, having worked in health and social care since the age of 20. Beginning her journey as a care assistant, she progressed through the roles of nurse and deputy manager before becoming a Home Manager, giving her a wealth of experience across all aspects of care delivery and leadership. Her passion for caring for others began long before her professional career. As a young adult, Jackie helped her mother care for her grandmother, an experience that inspired her to pursue a lifelong career supporting people with compassion, dignity and respect. Prior to entering healthcare, Jackie worked in the hosiery industry with Lyle & Scott, where she was a machinist producing the company's iconic garments. Jackie later joined the NHS, where she spent three years working in acute medical and palliative care before moving into care home nursing. The combination of her NHS experience and many years within residential care has provided her with a strong clinical background and a deep understanding of delivering high-quality, person-centred care. As Home Manager, Jackie is committed to creating a welcoming environment where residents feel safe, valued and supported to live fulfilling lives. She takes great pride in leading her team by example and is passionate about ensuring every resident receives the highest standards of care while maintaining their independence, dignity and individuality.What We Offer

Spanning over three floors, Addison Court provides 62 spacious en-suite bedrooms, attractive lounges for relaxing and chatting with other residents and family, and spacious dining rooms where our delicious menus of healthy and nutritious meals are served. There are also a number of additional communal areas, including a cinema, where residents can relax and chat with staff, family and friends.
Each of the bedrooms have been tastefully decorated and furnished with carefully selected fabrics and carpets, giving residents a contemporary backdrop in which they can personalise their rooms and make Addison Court their home. All feature en-suite facilities, several of which boast wet rooms, with specialist furniture and mobility aids, available to ensure the comfort and well-being of our residents. There are also flat screen televisions in each bedroom and unlimited wi-fi access is available at no extra cost.
