My name is Lesley Carr and I am the manager of Addison Court as of March 2018. I am a qualified registered general nurse having trained and qualified at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in 1989 where I continued to work gaining experience across all aspects of general medicine. Alongside this role I used to live to work and completed extra shifts across many care homes good, bad and indifferent and felt I could make a difference in this field improving standards in care homes for our more senior generation.
In 1996 I embarked on my career in the private sector initially as a deputy manager gaining promotion within 18 months to manager. In this time I have always maintained the homes I have worked in to comply with both the local authorities and CQC.
I have been privileged to have met some fantastic characters who have shared their lives and history with me creating a unique relationship.
My objective has always been to ensure people are cared for the way they want to be, when they want to be and how they want to be. I am a strong personality who is very passionate about good care and standards. I am not frightened to speak my mind and will always advocate for the people in my care however, I will always be respectful and professional in my approach.
I am by nature a self-motivating, assertive individual who strives for perfection and looks to coach and work with people to make the home the best place for people to live in, and the best place for people to work in, creating a very unique family.
