Our home is divided into 3 units, catering for individuals with general nursing, dementia nursing and younger physically disabled care needs. The emphasis is on individual care. Only very high calibre of staff are employed with a commitment to ongoing training and the majority of staff have achieved NVQ qualifications.
Each of the 74 single en-suite bedrooms have been beautifully decorated and furnished with carefully selected bespoke fabrics and carpets, giving residents the perfect backdrop to personalise their rooms and make Heatherfield their home.
Many of the bedrooms feature en-suite wet rooms, with specialist furniture and mobility aids where required to ensure the comfort and wellbeing of our residents. LCD televisions and internet access is provided as standard.
Residents can relax in the privacy of their bedroom or in one of Heatherfield’s many communal lounges which offer a range of formal and informal spaces to chat with other residents, family or friends, and participate in activities and celebrations. Residents have plenty of space to socialise, relax and participate in activities throughout the home. There is lift access to the first floor. The gardens at Heatherfield are beautiful and have won numerous awards. The gardens are fully accessible to wheelchairs.
Our Housekeeper pays particular attention to health and hygiene of all residents at Heatherfield. Our qualified Chef provides a varied and exciting menu to incorporate choice and special preferences.
We have a purpose built kitchen and laundry facilities, hairdressing room and treatment rooms. All of our exits are secure. You can use any area of the home at any time. We put a lot of emphasis on the social side of our residents lives and we provide an activities programme which will take into consideration all of our residents’ views and choices.
We also welcome professionals from the wider community into Heatherfield, with complementary services, such as hairdressing, chiropody and dental care available by arrangement. We work closely with everyone involved in the care and welfare of our residents, from family and friends to GPs, carers, nursing professionals and nutritionists to meet the demands of our commitment to providing the highest quality care.
There is a large car park, with spaces for residents and visitors, and the Home is conveniently located for access to local amenities including a church and shops, as well as local transport links.
