Wendy is a registered mental health nurse with 24 years of experience in acute mental health and psychiatry. Over the past 17 years, she has managed services specialising in mental health for young people with challenging behaviours, acquired brain injuries, dementia care, and supported living.Wendy has successfully maintained top CQC and local authority ratings and has turned around underperforming homes. As an Operations Support Manager, she supported 13 homes with operational duties.A proactive and enthusiastic leader, Wendy excels at motivating teams in challenging environments, implementing innovative solutions, and building strong relationships with stakeholders. She holds an RMA, Level 5 Leadership and Management Award, and qualifications in D32/33, V1 internal verification, and the Care Certificate Assessor Award.What we do

Only very high calibre staff are employed with a commitment to ongoing training and the majority of staff have achieved NVQ qualifications.
Our House Keepers pay particular attention to Health and Hygiene of all residents at Parklands Nursing Home. Our qualified Chef provides a varied and exciting menu to incorporate choice and special preferences.
We have a purpose built kitchen and laundry facilities, hairdressing room and treatment room. All our exits are secure. You can use any area of the home at any time. The grounds are maintained and are accessible to wheelchairs.
We put a lot of emphasis on the social side of our residents lives and we provide an activities programme which will take into consideration all of our residents’ views and choices.
