I am delighted to be able to take this opportunity to introduce myself, as home Manager and my dedicated team, at Parklands Nursing Home, located here in the coastal town of Seaham.
I have worked in the field of Health and Social Care for thirty years. I am a qualified nurse and have worked in acute health care as well as within community based projects, catering to the needs and wishes of older people and those with learning disabilities and mental health issues. I have qualified as a teacher in further education, where I have taught and assessed younger people accessing pre nursing and further educational opportunities.
Here at Parklands, we have an exceptional team of staff who endeavour to ensure that the people within our care are at the centre of their care, making their own choices and being supported with both their needs and wishes.
