Kirsty qualified as a registered nurse in 2009 but has worked in the care industry since the age of 16. She has worked with the elderly for much of her career, having a short period of working within the NHS on a general surgery ward before returning to her passion: caring for the elderly. Kirsty strives to make every home she works in, a place for residents to feel safe and secure while making it a home-from-home environment. Kirsty is passionate about the care that the residents receive, and she is always striving for improvement. Kirsty has a fantastic team that is very passionate about the care they provide for the residents and the support they provide to them and their families.

    Abbey Court is a modern, spacious care home with 44 bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, fitted furniture, interactive alarm system and mechanised bed. Assisted bath / shower rooms help aid the residents’ quality of life.

    As a specialist dementia residential / nursing care service, we pay particular attention to creating a friendly environment and supporting the residents’ desire for independence with clear orientation signage and hand rails.

    Internet access is available throughout as well as multi lift facilities. Lounges and dining areas are extremely spacious and dementia friendly, with breakout areas as well as private quiet rooms for residents and families.
